The Reinartz Tuner
John Reinartz had a knack for developing radios circuits and then explaining them in a plain common sense way that was easy to understand. In 1921, Reinartz was publishing a magazine which was distributed free: "How to Build Receivers and Transmitters at Low Cost." In 1921 he developed the Reinartz Tuner circuit. It was given wide publicity and thousands were built. It was the predecessor of most early receiving set tuners. His writings on the tuner and its improvements were published in QST in June, 1921, March, 1922 and October, 1922, and in other magazines.
